“Lack of direction, not lack of time is the problem. We all have twenty-four hours a day.” Zig Ziglar
What is it that we want to accomplish? That is the question. Not whether or not we have the time to do it. Because, if we live, there are enough hours in the day for us to accomplish goals. I was speaking to some people the other day, and one of the individuals asked me if I was going to write another book? To which I replied, I’m working on something new, but I have so many things going on. I’m not good at prioritizing.”
The next day, I watched a YouTube video on making a weekly planner, and I did it.I made a weekly planner. I have a direction I want to go in. I want to become the best life coach/peer recovery coach I can be. Coaching is about helping others become the best they can be, and in my opinion, I can’t just talk the talk but I have to walk the walk in order to be effective in helping others.
I have a podcast and YouTube channel called The Heart Matters that I want to merge with my coaching business. So, I have a direction, but it’s all about using the twenty-four hours I have a day to reach my destination.
In a nutshell, we must have a clear direction that we are heading towards in this life. Now, some people might be saying, “I have a family, and I must work this 9 to 5 in order to support them.” I fully understand that. The bills must be paid and food has to be put on the table.
However, there are so many opportunities to broaden our horizons. For instance, there is an online program called Skillshare. This program offers classes on anything for a small monthly fee. When I say anything I mean anything. That’s just one suggestion, but I’m sure a person could find a new direction and make a living while doing something inspiring.
Again, we have twenty-four hours, we just need the direction. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you.
